ShoSho is Going Yum Cha!

On September 6th, ShoSho is turning its Sunday lunch into something a little different.

Introducing Sunday Steam Club, our Japanese-inspired modern day take on one of the greatest ways to dine with all the generosity and theatre of yum cha - reworked with the produce, technique and fusion flavour ShoSho does best.

At its heart, yum cha has always been about abundance, variety and sharing and is exactly the kind of eating we love at ShoSho. Our kitchen is taking that familiar rhythm and running with it, building a 90-minute progressive menu that borrows from classic yum cha formats with ShoSho twists and turns. Expect Japanese flavours and technique, plenty of texture, premium produce and a few familiar ideas taken somewhere new.

Rather than traditional trolleys circling the room, dishes will arrive progressively throughout the sitting, taking the whole table through a succession of snacks, steamed and fried plates, larger dishes and dessert.

Soy and chilli will be within arm’s reach (of course), everyone on the table is in, and for anyone wanting to take the occasion one step further, an optional five-pour sake pairing will run alongside the menu.

It's Sunday lunch, but with a little more theatre - and a lot more to eat.
